Yesterday was the day of weird coincidences.
First, I discovered that my new roommate's sister was the first roommate of the alumna who directed me to this college in the first place. Which is . . . eerie.
Then, I discovered that my new roommate used to live just outside of Moscow, Idaho, not far from where Mr. C lives. And, I mean, that part of the country is EM-PTY. Around here you're lucky to meet someone from any further west than Texas. So, yeah, weird stuff.
Aaaaand . . . I'm worried I might be getting sick. I'm way congested. Which is bad, because my roommate has gone to bed, and I'm sitting here coughing and hacking and trying not to drown.

I am in The New Room.
The New Roommate is spending the weekend with her parents, in their hotel, so I'll have the place to myself tonight. (This was also good because she wasn't here to be bothered by the big mess I made moving in. It's all cleaned up now.
I don't have a key to The New Room yet, which makes me a little nervous. I'm also a little nervous that The New Roommate says she doesn't usually lock the door. I personally feel better when it's locked, even though tons of people say they don't lock theirs. That may have been the only thing The Old Roommate and I agreed on. I'm going to talk to her about it and maybe ask her to start locking the door at least when she's leaving the building.
Of course, until this weekend, I still have the problem of not having a key myself, which means I can't lock the door anyway. *nervous*
. . . though, the only thing I have that's worth anything is my laptop, and . . . this place is so small, I think it'd be hard to make off with one. But still.
