So, buying groceries and cooking for myself has made me come to the realization that when left to my own devices, I'm practically a vegetarian. Not on purpose--I just don't think to buy meat, and I don't really miss it when I eat. Aud has had to sort of remind me that yes, meat is something people generally like to have in most meals. So, I guess I need to make more of an effort to buy some. Mostly I've been subsisting on beans, rice, pasta, and eggs (which I only eat combined with the rice and pasta). With liberal helpings of cheese on all of the above. Aud has been making me eat vegetables, so really the only food group I haven't fully covered is fruit . . . well, and meat. Darn that meat.
Oh, the research? Well, it continues. I'm such a slow reader, so it's hard, and I'm a little discouraged right now. I'm hoping that things will get better once Prof. Casey gets back from Greece. I'm working on reading background on Dionysus and the Dionysiac mysteries. So far, I've liked each of the articles I've read, but I've only managed to read three. (My goal for this week is five, so I'll be working this weekend to make up for it.) Anyway, I'm sure it'll get better--I need to not let myself get mopey, because that's counterproductive. It would also help if I got up earlier. Darn.
